As far as I'm concerned, it has already made it. It's my primary desktop at work,with windows for those pesky apps that only run there. I guess I just like a more robust, unix-like os when I have to work on other unix systems all day. ;).

The free version of redhat is now called the fedora project. This will continue to be the experimental/desktop version that is along the same line as redhat 8 & 9
