We are creating some Unix (DEC/Compaq/HP) ksh scripts to move data to a remote system and then execute SQL*Loader (Oracle 8.1.6). Logging in on the remote system, this works fine. If the commands are executed from the command line using rsh, it works fine. But when SQL*Loader is executed through rsh, within a script, the load works fine, but the process doesn't terminate, just hangs. To add another wrinkle, going to a different machine works fine also, but the system administrator says there isn't any difference between the machines. And executing anything other than SQL*Loader works fine. I'm stumped and would welcome any ideas.
