let's see.  Otn is a marketing tool.  From a marketing point of view, what's better - changing the name to make it look like it's brand-spanking new, or making what is obvious obvious - that they are simply recycling the current version into a new version.

they list the new application server and the new developer suite as '10g', but then say 9.0.4 next to it?
