Oracle Performance tuning 101, Oracle dba 101, Oracle backup and recovery 101.....There are a lot of excellent references on the market and a lot of authors participate on this list. You can get answers to your questions here. I also recommend Robert Freeman's book on RMAN usage as well as the book "Expert One-on-One by Thomas Kyte" Ron
