Guys this is a very basic question but i am not able to find the
solution. Hope somebody comes up with solution for me.

My requirement is to add the counts of two tables.

select count(*) from table1 ; it returns 20
select count(*) from table2; it returns 30

Now i want to have result in single query as 50

Can this be done in single query ? how ? can somebody help me
