Just a thought ... but if you don't know the gender of your readers it 
is a pretty bad idea to start it off with "Dear Brothers" since you 
might have just irritated a lot of them.

Back to the topic, I am assuming that you mean MS Excel and not XML.

I know of no way to natively import Excel workbooks using PL/SQL and I 
always live in hope that someone will come up with one. I am sure that 
you could cheat and call a java routine that used jdbc to get at it but ...

We use Oracle Warehouse Builder (now part of the base Oracle product) at 
my place to pull Excel files into the database that but it doesn't work, 
IIRC, until the version of the tool that comes with 11gR1 (I could be 
wrong on the version).

You could also do it the other way, write a VBA routine in Excel that 
writes to the database but that is probably way beyond what you are 
looking for.

If, on the other hand, you mean XML .... I will wait for Mike to wade in.
