Hi All,

I have a question on Regular Expression.

When I am using below statement in PL/SQL block, I am not able to use
variable *chr_cnt*

    col_str := regexp_substr(tmp_str1, '[[:alpha:]]{1,*chr_cnt*}');

Instead

    col_str := regexp_substr(tmp_str1, '[[:alpha:]]{1,2}');
works.

How can I use a variables in the regexp_substr?

Thanks,
G
