I suppose your message is in good health (but I'm not sure how to
measure that), although the chatspeak is a bit out of place in a
newsgroup for professionals.

Certainly.

First you visit here:

http://tahiti.oracle.com

and choose the version you want to study, then go straight to the
Concepts Guide and start reading. When you've finished that read it
again. Also, any book by Tom Kyte is a good source of information.
If you get really adventurous you can read books by Jonathan Lewis and
learn how the optimizer functions and pick up knowledge on Oracle
internals.

There are also a number of blogs available, some good, some not -- I
would wait on perusing them until you have some conceptual knowledge
of Oracle.

And, don't believe everything you read about Oracle and its workings
on the Internet -- some websites are full of errors and half-truths
and will only confuse you.
