I have made some *personal comments in red.* Also, we have not been able to get any feedback from the Managers for the UI Developer position #4059 and the Software Developer Engineer Tester (SDET) position #4098, so please do not recruit for them any longer. We have not been told they are closed, but since the Hiring Manager isn't getting back to us, I have to assume the position is no longer open. I do have a different SDET and UI Developer position down below. These are * not* the positions I mentioned in the above paragraph. I also need to ask everyone to please reread the bullet points I have listed here: To save time and move the process along faster, when you submit a Consultant to me please include all of the items listed below: · A Word document of their resume with full name and contact information so I can enter them into our system. I will keep you in the loop with any correspondence between myself and the Consultant. · *4-5 bullet points that describe how their experience matches up with the requirements of the position. I am going to have to get these before I can submit the resume to the client so it saves time if I have these up front. I can still get them from the candidate but that usually causes us to have to wait an extra day while the candidate writes the bullets and then emails them to me. *** · Their availability for an interview – how much notice does the Consultant need to do a phone interview and how much notice for a face-to-face interview. · Their availability to start work upon receiving an offer. · The Bill Rate. Please remember that Protingent Staffing does not cover *any* expenses, including traveling for a face-to-face interview. Your Bill Rate will need to take this into effect, especially if the Consultant is not local to the client's location as a lot of clients are requiring face-to-face interviews after an initial phone interview. This position is working on a web based application where the last UI Developer position was working on a client/server app.)* * * * * *Job: 4151 - Test Developer* *6+ Month Contract* *Location: Palo Alto, CA* * * *This contract position is for a senior test developer to write C tests to test custom OS code (C API), where a managed code environment interfaces to a ported Unix OS, and other parts of a Unix system. This person would also likely implement and possibly architect, in concert with appropriate project leads, a test harness in a Unix based mobile OS. In this position you will probably spend 60-75% of your time in CAD, not much design. Additionally you may lead mechanical development efforts to sustain and improve for next generation portable products. Products will be designed locally and deployed in Asian OEMs. Responsibilities include: • Monitoring of customer return data, parts replaced in service, manufacturing line yield hitters and creating innovative strategies to improve product quality and reduce customer returns. • Candidate should be comfortable with opportunities in system-level design, collaboration with ID, design/material/process development, coordination of detail design & documentation and successful on-site transfer to high-volume manufacturing. • Areas of mastery should include some or all of mechanisms, materials, heat transfer, SPC, injection molding and metal part design. • International travel, exceptional written and verbal communication skills, grace under pressure and a positive attitude are mandatory. • Possible direct management of engineers, depending on experience.
