ALL MUST HAVE 8+ YEARS EXPERIENCE MINIMUM as they will be serving as an "advisor". 3. Excellent verbal communication skills *Description:* This Senior Infrastructure Services Advisor will be responsible for ensuring technologies are selected and applied based on current and future enterprise needs. This person will create IT Infrastructure solutions based on business and technical requirements and produce detailed technical designs and documentation as part of their engineering processes. Other duties may include, but are not limited to: Provisions, maintains, and troubleshoots enterprise systems, and serves as point of technical escalation on complex problems. Creates presentations and seeks IT management approval and acceptance of significant infrastructure undertakings. Designs and engineers comprehensive technical solutions based on business requirements and defined technology standards. Works with Architecture to update technology direction and strategy and develops reports supporting strategy and direction for management. Participates in project pilots requiring high-level technical expertise. Researches and monitors relevant trends and activities in healthcare, advancements in technology, business, legal and regulatory environments and the competition. Stays informed of customer, company and constituent business climates, including issues, interests and concerns. Trains others in various concepts. Sets vendor strategy and direction and may be assigned to project teams for technical consultation to business partners, architects, and developers. Requirements: This position requires BA/BS degree with 8-10 years experience with IT Infrastructure designing and planning of large-scale enterprise midrange and/or mainframe systems, or equivalent in combination of education and experience. Candidate must be able to utilize expert knowledge in infrastructure strategic decisions and demonstrate strong leadership and mentoring skills. Ability to develop and deliver technical presentations to various audiences including senior executives is required. Must be able to sell ideas and obtain approvals. Formal project management experience is desirable. Demonstrated ability to collaborate with Architecture group(s) to help define and implement and refine standards is required. Demonstrated ability to collaborate with other Infrastructure teams to develop appropriate designs is required. Capacity planning and performance monitoring skills are strongly preferred. Experience with and/or advanced knowledge of the following technologies is strongly preferred: · IBM Mainframe 1. z servers, such as z/OS, z/OS.e, z/VSE; 2. Data Structures (DB2, CICS and IMS) , 3. System z hardware structures/concepts (XCF, WLM, CSS and ICF) ESON, FICON and SMS.\ 4. Tape drives and virtual tape solutions: IBM TS7700 series, STK VTL SL8500 · Midrange operating systems including AIX, Windows, HP Unix, OS390 · Midrange Server hardware (HP Blades and DL-series; IBM p-Series) · Middleware technologies (IIS, IBM HTTP, Apache, Websphere, Weblogic, Websphere Portal, Websphere MQ, Message Broker, Process Server, etc.) · Database (Oracle, SQL, Sybase and DB2) · SAN and NAS Storage environments: EMC Clarion or DMX, HDS USP, IBM DS8300, NetApp · Fiber channel switches/routers such as Brocade, Cisco, McData -- Please send the updated resume of the consultant along with the rate, location and contact information.
