Position Description:
Experience Level: 10 or more years technical background and 6+ years
directly related web experience. Description: Acts as the highest-level
technical expert on the development and implementation of highly complex,
large-scale internet and intranet applications on diverse platforms,
crossing multiple business lines. Uses expert knowledge of web
technologies, including C++, Java, Java Script, HTML, CGI, XML, Perl, ASP,
multimedia applications, database modeling tools and/or database
interactions. Evaluates systems specifications for client area web site
requirements and determines and implements the most efficient and
cost-effective software/package solution. Provides leadership in
researching and tracking new web technologies, developing service
applications, and analyzing business requirements as they pertain to
web-based systems. Oversees system quality assurance and consistency with
installation and security policy and standards. Provides direction and
guidance to less experienced staff.
Description:
Wealth Management Technology (WMT) is seeking an individual to act as a web
engineer for development of our strategic business applications. In general
this individual will:
Act in the highest technical level technical role as an individual
contributor and/or team lead for the most complex computer applications
and/or application initiatives.
Utilizes a thorough understanding of available technology, tools and
existing designs.
Works on the most complex problems where analysis of situation or data
requires evaluation of intangible variance factors
Plans, performs and acts as the escalation point for the most complex
platform design, coding and testing.
Leads most complex multiple modeling, simulations, and analysis
efforts
Acts as an expert technical resource to programming staff in the
program development, testing and implementation process.
Expert Skills Required:
Must have experience with designing, building and deploying enterprise
software built in Java.
Excellent Java, J2EE
Experience with J2EE based large scale enterprise software
Significant hands-on experience developing scalable, high-performance
J2EE Solutions
Development & Implementation using Java Platform & J2EE standards,
including open system tools.
Significant hand on experience with the Agile methodology. OO Design,
Test Driven Development, Continuous Integration, and Code Reviews.
Experience with software design patterns, especially the MVC pattern.
Strong application design skills and the ability to represent those
designs in UML.
Significant experienced with Spring, Hibernate, J2EE, Cruise Control,
CVS, Subversion, HTML, JavaScript
Extensive experience with mid-tier server side technologies.
Experienced in multi-tier, component-based architecture and design.
Experience using SOA technologies such as SOAP, WSDL, XML Schemas,
etc.
Very strong team-interaction skills
Excellent communication skills
Excellent problem solving skills
Intermediate Skills Required:
Experience working with web services
Architecture experience with multi-tier enterprise level applications.
Platform and Skill Set Expertise:
Web Development : Java, Web Development : XML, Web Development : SQL, Web
Development : JSP, Web Development : EJB / J2EE, Design Skills & Tools :
Object Oriented Design
