Please send your updated resume for the job position given below If skills are matched with your profile *Job Profile : Java Application Developer Location : NYC Duration : 3 months Start : ASAP* *Overall Experience: 04-06 Yrs.* Position Description: Implementation of SOA services to support Records Management Compliance Project. The individual will be required to interface with various groups (Business, Information architecture, Enterprise Architecture, and application architecture) to not only understand the depth and breath of the business requirements, but to insure service implementations conform to the overall S&P Enterprise SOA strategy and best practices. The individual should possess leadership qualities and be able to execute with minimal direction. Responsibilities include, but not limited to: - Review business requirements and understand the business context for which the services will be developed. - Review and be able to translate business requirements into functional specifications. - Validate functional specifications with both Business and IT and obtain sign-offs before commencing design and development. - Analysis, Design and Development of new enterprise services. - Define and implement testing strategies (eg. unit, regression) for new and/or existing services. - Responsible for producing all relevant artifacts associated to the SDLC (Service Development Lifecycle). - Individual will be responsible for insuring that service implementations conform to the S&P overall architectural SOA strategy and best practices. - Release management: coordinating and deploying services to their respective environments (Dev, Test, QA, UAT, Prod)Interact with both on-site and potentially offshore consulting resources working on same project. - Ability to identify technology risks and mitigation strategies - Be able to provide work effort estimates for purposes of identifying resource gaps and/or project schedule risk. - Keep stakeholders and management abreast of key design decisions that may impact project deliverables. Qualifications Excellent verbal communication skills are essential, in addition, to following skills: 6+ years IT experience overall 3-4 years concentration in Web-services and web application development Strong XML, Xml Modeling and associated tools (eg. Xquery, XLST, JAXB, Xmlbeans, JIBX). *Required Skills 4+ years experience in J2EE and Object Oriented programming. Oracle 9i, 10G, PL/SQL Xquery* Desired Skills (Major Plus) Aqualogic Data Services Platform Hibernate Spring Framework Sonic ESB.
