As it is developing even more, we require dynamic and motivated resources to build the best and most effective technology environment and help the business reach its goals. In particular, SG uses the Thomson TTS System for back office processing since 1998, and is in a period of fast development and strong business investments. The main application will require major enhancements to support the rapid business evolution. RESPONSIBILITIES Candidate will be responsible for the analysis, design, programming and unit testing of software enhancements and projects, as well as production support for existing applications and processes. Candidate will also be responsible for performing research on level-2 and -3 production issues as they arise. The candidate will be required to work with the user community to clarify requirements, validate test results and respond to requests for support. Documentation of all development will be required, with turnover of processes to our production support team. Provide technology development and support for the Back Office team. Candidate should have experience working with real-time and batch transaction processing systems and knowledge of equities and equity derivatives in a broker-dealer environment. Candidate should have experience with the full project development life cycle & object oriented concepts within /Unix/Oracle/Perl/KSH/Java/JSP/ environments. We are looking for very dynamic candidates, with strong analytical and technical skills and business knowledge, who are ready to take challenges, work under pressure, provide sound solutions and take the lead on technical and business projects. Specific applications development and support responsibilities will apply to our Back Office Data Warehouse platform and its different downstream interfaces. TECHNICAL SKILLS Required (Must have, Core skills): • Unix OS • Oracle Server – PL/SQL • Oracle Data Warehousing Concepts – Database modeling • Heavy PERL and Unix KSH scripting • XML • Java, JSP Desired (Should have experience in some of the following): • ETL – Informatica • Crystal Reports • SWIFT Messaging • MS Excel VBA • NT/XP/MS Office Suite Plus (Nice to have): • C# .Net Web Forms • MS SQL/Sybase • J2EE, HTTP, JavaScript • Middleware (TIBCO, MQ, Tuxedo) BUSINESS KNOWLEDGE • US Broker-Dealer environment (clearing & settlement, compliance, etc…) • Equity Trading • Knowledge of trading and brokerage operations – front to back • Other Equity Derivatives experience PRIOR WORK EXPERIENCE • Equities front/back office applications experience in the brokerage industry • Production support experience • Experience providing documentation to both technical and client audiences • Approximately 5-10 years of relevant work experience • Full project life cycle experience • Derivatives systems experience EDUCATION • BS or Masters in Computer Science/Finance or related field *Position#2* *Job Profile : **MS Access Developer* * Location : **Morris Plains, NJ * * Duration : 3+ months Start : ASAP Rate : $50/hr * Most critical skill - Access database. Will be integrating 4 data sources into access database. Building queries and reports for web application and web server vulnerability management tool. Pharma experience desired. Not required. MS Access Developer 1. 4+ years of experience with MS Access database, user interface and reports development as well as SQL 2. Experience in working with Oracle and MS SQL database 3. Experienced in Data Analysis - importing and/or extracting large amounts of data, creating tables and databases, cleansing and analyzing data, and creating and formatting reports 4. Experienced in creating, defining and documenting workflow diagrams and/or processes 5.
