This position will report to the Associate Director, R&D Business Systems and Processes (BSP) and will primarily be responsible for the creation, maintenance and updating of Crystal/Web Intelligence reports for the Global Research Application Support Process (GRASP). The reports will be set up to run automatically posting daily to a corporate intranet website. The candidate should come from a software development background with a minimum of four years in performing report design, development and deployment. A team-oriented quick learner who can develop report solutions based on customers¿ requirements and business needs without extensive documentation or direction. This candidate should have extensive experience using an Oracle database, and be familiar with other databases and development methodologies. Preferred experience with the entire Business Objects suite, including BO dashboards and analytics. Report Writing: Minimum four years experience in developing reports using Crystal Reports and Web Intelligence. Knowledge and skills to create cross tabs, graphics, charts and manipulate result sets and variables to meet business needs. The candidate will convert requirements and models from analysis, specifications and business needs into technical specifications. Uses the knowledge and experience from past technical environments and communication skills to design and document a system that will meet client requirements, technical standards, and future opportunities Requires interpretive skills to translate end user descriptions into workable report solutions. Requires ability to transform data based on user requirements and under tight deadlines. Database Development: Minimum three years experience in the creation of Oracle views, materialized views, procedures and packages.
