Include full name, contact information and rate. * Primary Responsibilites The Search Services team within Application Services is looking for a Senior Software Engineer responsible for developing and enhancing services within the Novus Suite Architecture (NSA). The NSA is the primary platform many Thomson Reuters products are built upon. The Application Services group is responsible for designing, developing, and supporting features and functionality within the NSA for our domestic and international business partners. We are seeking a creative and highly motivated senior software engineer to join our team. The position requires experience in performing system analysis, design and coding assignments, participation in code/design reviews, unit testing, stability testing, product documentation, and production support. This individual will work with other team members to provide input in the capture, implementation, and building of design documentation created by the team. The successful candidate for this position will be familiar with the phases of the SDLC and have experience with planning and software design, code development, ensuring coding standards and practices are met, performing tests and implementation. The position requires an individual who is willing to play a technical role in a fast paced team oriented software development environment. Job Description: • Development in Java/J2EE technologies, Web Services, SQL, and XML based technologies to maintain and enhance the INF Framework which is used to access the Novus Suite Architecture. • Apply Object Oriented Analysis and Design (OOAD) techniques and implementation using Design Patterns • Communicate both verbally and via design artifacts • Development in a highly scalable distributed multi-tiered system • Create and maintain unit level tests using JUnit • Collaborate with engineers both internal and external to the organization • Participate with business units to review requirements and designs . Follow up on outstanding issues with project team and management *Minimum Qualifications: • Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or related field • 2+ years of Java/J2EE based development using Design Patterns • 2+ years developing Web Services • Proficient in XML and related technologies • Possess excellent written and verbal skills • Ability to prioritize tasks and work independently • Ability to set scope and deliver quality results • Ability to communicate effectively when dealing with internal and external customers* Preferred Experience Experience in Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) – SOAP and Web Services within Websphere Application Server (WAS) Experience working with Rational Developer (RAD) or Websphere Application Developer(WASD), Experience working with Team Foundation Server or Teamtrack Familiarity with REST technology UI development experience using JSF, JSP and Ajax Experience with Message Oriented Middleware services *Position#2 Job Profile : Lead .Net Developer Location : Minneapolis, MN Duration : 6+ months Start : ASAP Rate : $50/hr* *CANDIDATES MUST BE IN MINNESOTA RIGHT AT THIS MOMENT!!!* Main requirements: C# is a MUST Lead experience is a MUST Experience working on commercial websites is a MUST (please include URLs in resume) Essential Functions • Design, code, and test technical solutions utilizing .NET technologies such as C#, ASP.net, VB.net, ADO.net. and experience with HTML, css, and java script, XML, Microsoft IIS datasets, collections, dictionary objects • Understand and communicate technical and functional design requirements. • Create prototypes for client engagements. • Identify system deficiencies and recommend solutions. • Assist in enforcement of development deadlines and schedules. • Understand the necessity of and contribute to coding standards. • Develop internal and external meeting objectives and agendas. • Accurately prepare written business correspondence that is coherent, grammatically correct, effective, professional and engaging. • Demonstrate proficiency with physical and logical database design. • Understand advanced relational database concepts and object oriented concepts. • Understand expectations that were set with client and recognize when issues/events may affect delivery and communicate appropriately. Other Functions • May perform other job related duties as assigned Education, Experience and Other Skills • Minimum of 5 years experience in Software Engineering • Demonstrate proficiency in multiple programming languages. • Promotes active listening with team members and contributes appropriately to conversations.
