Manage IT project for software implementation

Contract Personnel will be called upon to plan and
direct the development, testing and implementation of
major systems projects in a client server and/or web
environment. Projects may include package installation
and configuration and/or in-house application
development.
Contract Personnel will provide day-to-day, formalized,
continuing work direction and leadership to assigned
teams of application developers covering all phases of
development, ranging from feasibility and requirements
phase through development, implementation,
documentation, user training, and production turnover.
This will include the scheduling, assignment, review of
project work, scope change management, schedule
extensions, developing/executing test scripts and other
project management activities.
Contract Personnel will need to work and coordinate with
other IT staff and implementation vendor.
Technical requirements will be specific to the individual assignment but, in
general, will include:
. Excellent communication skills
. Working knowledge of a formal system development lifecycle methodology
. Project Management knowledge following PMI standards
. Various SQL based database products such as Oracle and SQL Server,
. GUI design standards,
. Windows 2000/Office XP or greater desktop environment and
. Working knowledge of MS Word, Excel, Project and Visio
. Working knowledge of network considerations for applications.
. Working knowledge of SharePoint is a plus
. Visual Studio.NET application development tools is a plus
