This is a full life cycle development project so experience with this would be ideal as the client needs the consultants to have no ramp up time. The client is moving from a GE POS to an IBM ACE POS application. The candidates should have retail experience as the application is specific to the retail industry. The consultants will be responsible for planning, implementing, and reporting on testing aspects of the POS application. The consultants will work as team to develop test plans in coordination with upgrade and create test cases based on these requirements. The team of QA consultants will implement testing plans and test cases and present testing results. This will include creating use cases, develop and maintain test specifications, test cases, test scripts and test data, implement test practices, standards and processes, troubleshoot test issues, record test results, track and prioritize defects, participate in release decisions and establish measures of test efficiency, effectiveness and product readiness. This position will be manual and automated testing of the POS application. The POS is a 3 tiered application so someone that can test all three environments would be ideal. Experience with a test tracking software package is desired.
