Need: Production Process Support Script Technician
Location: Erie , PA ( The closer to PA the Better ) ***Client will want a

Required- Bachelors Degree in MIS or related field
- 15+ years of IT Operations experience
- 5+ years of expert level experience in C, Korn and Bourne shell scripting
languages along with Solaris/Unix and RedHat/Linux commands.
- 5+ years with EDI / Sybase scripting and mapping
- 5+ years of expert level experience with processes including secure FTP /
Tumbleweed, AutoSys & CA7 schedulers along with Harvest / SCM change
management tool
- Experience with integration of training, processes, procedures,
documentation and knowledge transfer in transition of functions above from
the Server Administration section to Production Process Support utilizing
industry best practices
- Superior IT technical and analytical skills
- Outstanding communications, interpersonal, and relationship management
skills
Expert level experience in Unix scripts & processes including secure FTP /
Tumbleweed, AutoSys & CA7 schedulers. Temporary contract augment to staff is
required for a 6 month to year term to assist with transition of Unix
processes from the Server Admin section. The transition of function is part
of the restructure. Expertise is required to assist with training, processes
and procedures of Erie Production Process Support staff. Currently, one
member of another section handles all of the scripting and contacting of
trading partners & vendors for set up. A subset of that information is
shared with PPS in order to code the FTP JCL and set up jobs, filewatcher,
etc. by PPS. The desired state is to consolidate & streamline both processes
into one area, providing a more (one) seamless step for our business clients
when a new trading partner or vendor set up is required. This consolidation
will also allow for standardization & documentation of process which
currently does not exist. Furthermore, the Server Admin section is tooling
up on Linux for PAS & augmented staff will allow for crosstraining on Unix
processes; it will free up the Unix SME to work on Linux.
Preferred
- Technical experience with developing, testing, and deploying Secure FTP
scripting and processes in a Production Control environment
