*SKILL SET: Web Application Development Manager* *Start Date: Immediately*
*Duration: 3 months * *Location: Parsippany, NJ* *Client’s Web Application Development Manager is responsible for and**manages the activities of a 10+ member software development team** tasked with architecture, design and implementation of **B2C Web and Call Center applications**. Directly oversees planning and coordinating the creation, integration, operation and application of software systems. Reviews System Specification & Design documents from Application Engineers and participate with Delivery Managers - Development in the estimation, planning and scheduling of projects that meet those specifications and designs. Implements standardized product development processes across the software development team. Ensures the software development team is staffed with personnel holding the skill sets necessary to provide high levels of quality and productivity.* *REQUIREMENTS:* - *Bachelor's Degree in **Computer Science** preferred and at least **8-10 years** experience in systems analysis and application program development (or an equivalent combination of education and work experience). * - *5+ years management** experience in software development and support of n-tier, mission-critical, transactional applications, preferably an application development environment (including ability to recruit and integrate new personnel; train and instruct; evaluate new technologies; assess personnel performance and conduct performance reviews). * - *5+ years** experience in software development using Java**/J2EE, Web Services or SOAP/XML, BEA WebLogic, webMethods, SOA, XML, BEA Web Portal, Interwoven** TeamSite (or similar software development technologies), using integrated development environments.* - *Demonstrate a strong understanding of Software Engineering best practices* - *Demonstrate a solid understanding of distributed systems, middleware technologies and n-tier architecture, as well as a variety of software tools and languages.* - *Demonstrated experience with a diversity of technical solutions development and delivery life-cycles (mainframe, 3rd party solutions, RAD, iterative, etc)* - *Demonstrate a understanding of Unified Modeling Language, J2EE and GoF Design Patterns preferred* - *Demonstrate a understanding of Agile Methodologies* - *Demonstrate a understanding of RUP* - *Demonstrate a understanding of jUnit, ANT, Struts, Oracle, TopLink, Castor, LDAP, portal technologies preferred* - *Familiarity with eCommerce/eBusiness applications in the travel & hospitality industry a plus* - *Architecture planning** and experience with legacy systems and legacy systems integration a plus* - *Ability to work with 3rd party vendors in an onshore or offshore model * - *Ability to research data and provide documentation.* - *Strong verbal and written communication skills, comfortable communicating and interacting at all levels within the company.* -- Thanks & Regards Kevin Maripax Solutions | [email protected] www.Maripax.com --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Oracle-Projects" group.
