Role: Oracle Informix Consultant Location: Temple Terrace, FL Bill: $30/hr Maxxxxxxxxxx Duration: 3 months ********** NEED LAST 5 of SSN + MONTH & DAY of BIRTH TO SUBMIT. ********** Primary Skill Requirement: Informix 4GL, Ace Report Writer, SQL, OLTP and DSS coding process Description: -Experience with Informix 4GL, Ace Report Writer and SQL languages. -Must have detailed SQL and Informix optimizer rule set and query pathing experience. -Knowledgeable about Informix OLTP and DSS coding process. -Must have knowledge with UNIX SMP technology and how to take advantage of this technology within Informix OLTP & DSS coding. -Must have proven track record of ability to tune large Informix databases from both the Operating System and Database points of view. -Must have knowledge of Informix installation and configuration on Unix operating systems. Skills: -Read, interpret and code 4GL program; and, read, interpret and code Ace Reports and SQL statements; and, install the Informix 7.x, 9.x database engine. -Configure the Informix 7.x, 9.x database engine -Tune the Informix 7.x, 9.x database engine -Perform unload and loads of database between multiple instances of Informix 7.x, 9.x engines. -Be familiar with IDS tools that support the forgoing statements. -Be a good communicator to analyze and support customers in the movement of reports and database needs for End user customers -Be able to gather good requirements -Differentiate between requirements and design -Apply RDBMS standard design methodologies to a database -Understand and apply formatting and normalization forms to databases in development and post production -Able to monitor a DB for tuning and make necessary tuning recommendations, updates, and ongoing monitoring to verify tuning updates.
