Provides consultation for and resolution to highly complex matters v *Complexity/Problem Solving:** *Develops operational tactics and guidance * * v *POSITION PURPOSE:* Function as the primary onsite resource providing desk-side (PC and Laptop) services and supporting various IT equipment components, including: local site servers, PC hardware and software, printers, copiers, fax and audio/visual equipment. Act as backup resource to support site infrastructure and telecommunications for data and voice networks as required. v *PRINCIPAL ACTIVITIES:* v *Function as the primary onsite desk-side resource at the local site, performing the following:* · Install and maintain Desktop & Laptop personal computing hardware and software · Provide desk-side assistance to the local site user community · Install and maintain locally attached and networked printers · Perform administration of the local site network servers (hardware and application software as applicable) · Provide administration of and local support to the site email/messaging system · Assist the Acxiom and Sweden infrastructure support groups upon request v *IT Data Management and Security (if applicable) — Local Site* · Data Management and Security: · Swap out the backup tapes on a daily basis and transfer tapes to the offsite storage location as required · Maintain organization and control of the offsite tape storage · Adhere to the Disaster Recovery Plan as developed for the IT Department v *Infrastructure Backup Resource — Local Site* · Function as infrastructure backup resource performing the following: · Monitor and maintain all aspects of the telecommunications network, including phone switch, cabling, telephone set deployment and troubleshooting · Monitor and maintain the wired and wireless infrastructure, including the mill wireless access points and the administration building wireless access points. Support the local switch hardware and user connectivity · Support and monitor site security system, troubleshooting and addressing hardware and software, and wiring requirements. *INCUMBENT ORGANIZATION STRUCTURE* * None* v *EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:* * * *Required:* · BS Degree in Information Technology, Technical Certification, 3 to 5 years of equivalent IT experience · Job-related experience in supporting Desktop and Laptop computing infrastructure with experience in Microsoft Windows and the MS-Office Suite.
