Rate:$35/hr on C2C {PLEASE CONFIRM THE RATE}
Position Description:
Experience Level: 4 year degree plus 3-5 years experience.
SOLARIS/LINUX ENGINEER:
*CANDIDATE MUST HAVE ALL SKILLS, NO EXCEPTIONS.
*DO NOT SUBMIT CANDIDATES UNLESS THEY TRULY HAVE EXPERIENCE IN THE
IDENTIFIED REQUIRED SKILLS.
*MAY BE REQUIRED TO WORK VARIOUS SHIFTS TO INCLUDE WEEKENDS, HOLIDAYS, AND
ON-CALL SUPPORT WHENEVER 24/7 OPERATIONS DICTATE.
*SPEAK AND WRITE CLEARLY
*H1B candidates are ok, but prefer USC or GC Holders.
*This will start as a 6 month contract with possible extension out to 18
months.
JOB DESCRIPTION: Open position for a Solaris/Linux administrator with
experience working in a large, complex IT infrastructure(s). Ideal candidate
is a highly motivated self-starter and committed team player with strong
verbal and written communication and analytical skills.
MIN REQUIRED SKILLS/ EXPERIENCE:
4 years experience supporting and maintaining Solaris 9/10 on SUN hardware.
4 years experience supporting and maintaining SUSE 9/10 and Red Hat 5 on
HP/Dell Intel hardware.
4 years experience Host / SAN connectivity (required for both Solaris and
Linux)
3 years experience supporting Veritas FS, VM, VCS (Must have experience in
Veritas Clustering Suite)
2 years experience with Dell, HP or IBM blade servers
2 years experience with VMWare guest OS administration *Current experience
with updating firmware/BIOS for HP, IBM, and Dell Intel Platforms *Current
experience with updating firmware/BIOS for SUN Platforms *Ability to manage
multiple projects, assignments or work load effectively.
*Ability to work with Business Unit customers, technical and non-technical.
PREFERRED BUT NOT REQUIRED:
Some working knowledge Oracle or DB2 Apache, Tomcat, Weblogic, JBoss and
other middleware related applications Shell scripting (Ksh, bash, or sh)
Experience with Remedy or other ticketing systems.
