JOB DESCRIPTION
The Trading Horizontal is seeking developers to help establish the strategic
trading platform. The developers will be involved in the development of a
shared component platform for use by the trading applications and services
in the bank. The shared component platform will be used to establish a
Service Oriented Architecture across all product lines for client and
proprietary trading. This role requires understanding of Trading systems.
Candidates should have in-depth deliverables experience in a wide range of
systems both from a core technical perspective and a business functionality
perspective. Project delivery experience and track record is essential and
expected.
Deliverables Include:
* Develop common components for messaging, entitlements, market price
and other areas leveraging existing platform technologies.
* Conduct Performance tests around vendor and in-house development
components, feeding into the recommendation process for standards tools.
* Build Web service data model components aimed at establishing a
unified data model and mediation layer.
* Assist application developers with optimization components to
achieve the necessary performance requirements for our low latency traders.
Hours: Communication might be needed with other locations globally which
requires early mornings and/or late evenings.
Qualifications:
Candidates must have strong experience in at least one of the following,
additional experience in other platforms is advantageous:
* C++/Linux
* .NET C#/VB.NET
* Java
Must have experience with four or more of the following technologies:
Java JMS messaging
* Java JAX-WS or JAXB Web Service technologies
* Java thread-pools and resource management
* Experience using the Eclipse Modeling Framework
* TCP/IP Programming
* Garbage collection behavior and tuning
* C++ STL libraries
* C++ ACE communications library
* Multi-threaded programming and inter-thread communication and
control.
* .NET WCF for web service development
* XSD and WSDL schema definitions
* UML class, use-case and activity diagrams
* .NET WPF GUI development, data-binding and ViewModel patterns
* Entity Framework, LINQ and ADO Data Services
* Knowledge of API / Framework design
