Since he is going to act as a Lead, - I need him to be experienced in Cognos 8. Looking for candidates at Senior Consultant - Manager I levels. (Profile for Screening). - *Strong skills in Cognos 8.x report studio, and strong development skills in graph based reports development- tree objects, bar graphs, pie charts."Well verse with IBM Cognos 8.x Connection, and customization of Cognos Connection. * - Customization may involve, but not limited to, rebranding cognos connection portal, inter-portlet interactions, custom navigation etc. - *Good understanding of Cognos 8 Security, roles, and permissions.* - Able to apply the security/roles concepts to Cognos reports and Cognos connection. Have past experience in deployment of Cognos 8 Reports and Connection Portal. - BI data modeler with data architecting, dimensional modeling, star schema, data mapping experience; needs to understands cubes and multi dimensional models. Needs to have BI experience/background. Leadership experience a huge plus. Excellent communication skills. - *Data Warehouse Data Architect/ Modeler Role:* Experienced with Dimensional Modeling/ Star Schemas Experienced in providing BI solutions dealing with Cubes/ Multi-dimensional models - Maintains logical/physical data models - Coordinates the metadata associated with the application - Understanding of multiple data architectures that can support a Data Warehouse - Ability to translate functional requirements into technical design specifications - Project Solution experience is desired - Maintains Data Quality metrics - Experience in optimizing DW data loads and data transformations - Plans architectures and infrastructures in support of data management processes and procedures - Supports the build out of the Data Warehouse, Data Marts and operational data store - Effectively communicates with other technology and product team members.
