Acting as a technical subject matter expert, the individual will be responsible for the design, development, programming and testing of back office and settlement related systems. Develops detailed system design and programming specifications on assigned project/projects. Implements other tasks required for the development, implementation and continuing operation of various systems. Programs supported range from above average complexity to very complex. Supports the daily activity of the Project Manager by creating and maintaining custom reports and programs, and by providing technical support for system and software issues *Responsibilities* · Lead development teams on multiple projects concurrently · Allocate tasks and track progress with development teams, mentor and guide developers. · Oversea system design, documentation & validation whilst maintain architectural consistency · Hands on development in multiple languages (PL/SQL, Java, JavaScript, HTML) · Lead agile SDLC ideally as a Scrum Master · Make SDLC improvements to help maintain well written and maintainable systems allowing faster delivery of important functionality to our business partners · Work with business partners and systems personnel to identify and develop new processes and/or systems, change current processes to enhance their effectiveness, or eliminate processes that are not justified. · In support of this, performs financial analysis and coordinates computer system changes and development processes. Produces project documentation including formal proposals and schedules, system requirements and testing plans. · Trouble shoot any system failures and discrepancies. · Designs and tests systems and/or systems changes accurately to insure system efficiency, integrity, productivity and maintainability. · Support production systems onsite and during offsite hours · Sets appropriate goals and priorities that coordinate with the business areas and other organizational units and resources *Competencies* · More than 10 years of development experience and an expert in all tiers of Java, Superior knowledge of Java, J2EE, JMS, EJB, JSP/Servlet, JDBC, XML, industry popular frameworks, libraries, and application servers. Must be very strong with design patterns and OO design. · Superior knowledge of relational database environment. Strong SQL, PL/SQL. Oracle required. · Experienced with Service Oriented Architecture with complicated systems based on messaging bus. · Extensive experience with multi-tier J2EE application design and development, · Strong experience with web application design and development required · Solid knowledge of UNIX environment, Solaris preferred. · C++ is strong *Specific Business Knowledge and Experience Required:* · Has business and technical knowledge of investment processes. Uses solid business knowledge to develop rapid proactive solutions for significant business issues.
