*Role: DevOps Engineer*

*Location: Windsor, CT*




*Roles/Responsibilities*



• Experience working in a Build/Release capacity within a Java App
environment while utilizing Maven as their main build tool in UNIX, RHEL
and Windows OS.

• Extensive experience working with Linux and Red Hat servers (installing,
configuring and customizing)

• Sr. level tool administration knowledge on Jira, Subversion, Jekins,
Fisheye, Nexus, uDeploy, Sonar & Confluence

• Solid experience with one or more scripting language: Shell, Python
and/or Perl

• Experience with one or more source code repositories: Subversion, Git,
TFS and/or PVCS

• Experience with Continuous Integration tools (TeamCity, Jenkins, Hudson,
Cruise Control, Bamboo etc.)

• Solid understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle and change
control processes

• Experience working in either a DevOps, Agile and/or Scrum background

• Experience in WebSphere and JBOSS application servers

• Experience with Red Hat Jboss-FUSE or MULE ESB is a huge plus.

• Strong attention to details with ability to multi-task on several
projects and overcome challenges

• Working knowledge of SCM (software configuration management) best
practices

• Carrying out the standard order of activities (OOA) required to ensure
that all environments are setup and appropriately controlled.

• Strong analytical, technical documentation and excellent business
communication skills.

• Good understanding of SSL certs, keystores is a plus.



• NOTE: Individual should be prepared to work some off hours or weekends in
order to support releases on occasion (planned and notified).



*Must have skills:*



• Coordinate building new test environments and environment enhancements
(i.e. SYS2, Fuse, JBoss, etc.).

• Coordinate code / data / configuration migration for the multiple test
environments.

• Work with QA Managers, QA Leads and PMO Project Managers on test
environment planning.

• Work with Vendor Partners on environment interfacing.

• Coordinate PVS environment setup / testing.

• Proactively monitor testing environments to identify potential problems.

• Drive environment and server problem resolution by enlisting other team
members, support areas and vendor partners as needed.

• Gain visibility into future environment needs by attending Agile Scrum of
Scrums, Release Planning Meetings, Sprint Demos and other QA / Development
meetings
