Job Description:
Responsible for the design, development and administration
of transactional and analytical data constructs/structures. Included within
those responsibilities are the areas of data access and delivery
technologies, importantly Microsoft SQL Server. Duties include performance
tuning, monitoring, software installs and upgrades, and physical and
logical database design. Some SQL databases are very large, with a minimum
size of 500 GB and 1000 users. Familiarity with Web Applications
Hands on experience with Microsoft Windows XP or higher version. Hands on
experience with Microsoft Office Word and Excel.
Work Experience 5+ years
Financial Services Experience 3+ years Experience
Microsoft Certified Professional, DBA - MS SQL Certification
Deep understanding of SQL Server monitoring technologies
MSFT Clustering, HA, DR, Mirroring and other resiliency technologies.
Experience with SQL Server 2005, 2008, and 2012.
5 years of experience in Database Support.
Ability to effectively communicate across multiple levels (Executive
Sponsors to team members).
