*C# Developer Pittsburgh, PA 6-12+ Months Contract* ***Need Only Locals to PA*** *Project Description:* Our client is taking a care management legacy software application which is built on .NET technology stack and are converting to html 5 application while still using Microsoft tech stack. They want to complete this in the next 12 months. Currently they are 30-40% complete and are 15-20% behind schedule. Currently using agile/scrum methodology. Care management application, over 1000 users within the organization that are using the application. They are looking to modernize and move to new technology stack to gain efficiencies and give the end users a better look and feel than the legacy desktop application. Will deploy via the web. *Day to day responsibilities: *Currently they are modernizing the application for this by making it more web and mobile oriented, multi-tenant. The Software Engineer would assist with the following: Delivering a solution with security as a priority Solving business problems with simple designs that promote clean coding practices, such as the SOLID principles Communicate with analysts and QA team members to satisfy business requirements Implementation of RESTful services Collaborate with other team members to encourage continuous improvement *Required Skills:* Programming experience in languages based on Object Oriented Principles (C# or Java, experience in either is okay but prefer both ) C# is language we currently use. As long as they have general knowledge with OOP. Abstraction and capsulation. What do they mean? Experience writing a rest Web API? Experience in writing a middleware service? ASP .NET, Windows Communication, Spring in Java. Knowledge of ASP.NET MVC/Web API, LINQ/Entity Framework Experience writing queries within C# or Java to manipulate data ORM Object relational mapper – Understand how to write this type of framework Comfortable writing complex SQL queries.
