*Duration: 6+ months* *Interview Type: F2F* *Job ID: 408269* *Complete Description:* Looking for a highly qualified Business objects migration specialist possessing complete life cycle experience related to setting up, maintaining and migration of Business objects environments. The candidate shall be a certified SAP specialist in all the functions of business objects software with particular focus on setting up a robust new environment together with migration of the objects/security/schedules/ profiles/groups and all other attributes from the existing server. Proposed candidate ideally shall have about 6 years active experience in business objects projects that include specific focus on large-size business objects migration projects (minimum of 3 years). Candidate shall have hands on experience in report generation, conversion of deski reports to webi reports, security, administration, disaster recovery and maintenance of server environment with product upgrades. The candidate should be capable of working independently for successful completion and stabilization of the migration project. The following are some of the high level components in this business object migration project: Project Overview: 1. Setting up of a new BOB server environment in production, and multiple pre-production regions with latest version software (BOB 4.1 or latest for which we have the license) from the scratch. The candidate will have to factor in the framework used in the existing BOb environment. 2. The current DMV environment for BOB is BOBXI3.1. It has been in service for the past 9 years and uses a real-time connection with OCTO mainframe DB2 database to obtain the data. This environment currently has capability to produce deski reports (these need to be converted to the webi reports in the new environment) in addition to the webi reports. 3. The new environment shall be set up at 95 M Street. The DMV IT administrators will be actively involved in this migration project, and existing Business object resource during the entire process. 4. All the existing groups, users, security, universes, reports, schedules, job instances and all other pertinent components needed for smooth function of new set up shall be created on the new production and pre-production environments. 5. There are about 250 webi reports that need to be recreated in the new production and pre- production environments. 6. We have 4 universes and associated components that need to be created over in the new production and pre- production environment. 7. In addition, we have about 100 deski reports that need to be converted to webi and then brought over to new production and pre- production environment. We do not intend to use the deski function going forward due to several reasons including no support for Deski 8. We have about 75 job schedules that run each day/week/month that need to be created in the new production and pre- production environment. In addition, all the existing users, profiles, folders and other file structures need to be brought over to the new production and pre- production environment 9. Another responsibility of the resource will be to set up of the server infrastructure for BOB developer tools that create report generation in new production and pre- production environment 10. Upon completion of the setup of the BOb environment, verification shall be carried out using the existing system to ensure that the project is successful. 11. The candidate shall be capable of delivering training sessions on how to use the new system to the business users. 12. DCDMV resource (with BOb knowledge) will be actively involved during the entire project. 13. The estimated timeframe for this project is 52 weeks. Behavior Characteristics: Time and attendance.
