*Location : Ft.Worth,TX (NEED ONLY LOCALS)* *Duration : 2+ months* *Bill Rate : $47/hr* *Oracle DBA, Oracle 9i, 10g, UNIX (AIX), shell scripting, Stored procedures, tuning, monitoring* Position Summary The principal purpose of this position is to provide administration and optimization support for the Enterprise databases (primarily oracle). Minimum Qualifications Five or more years experience as a Database Administrator in a relational database environment. Experience in the design, implementation, and installation of Oracle databases (8i, 9i, 10g), with strong understanding of related utilities and tools. Strong UNIX (AIX) administration and shell scripting skills. Prior experience with the development and maintenance and implementation of backup and recovery policies and procedures. Working knowledge of sqlplus and pl/sql. Understanding and knowledge of ETL jobs, Store Procedures, and database optimization is a huge plus. Principal Accountabilities Installs, upgrades, configures and evaluates Oracle features and related products. Establishes and maintains sound backup and recover policy and procedures. Responsible for database design and implementation, including all elements of database security implementation, user management and maintenance. Performs daily database tuning and performance monitoring. Capacity planning (planning for future growth and changes). Performs general technical troubleshooting and consultations to development teams. Manages database using Oracle Enterprise Manager and other third party Admin tools. Other Duties as assigned Optimization Expert for Oracle ETL experience for Data warehouse. Other Qualifications Ability to demonstrate a working knowledge of web based technical architecture Adaptability to changing priorities and flexible workloads Able to work long hours when required Must be able to interact with all levels of Technical staff and support staff The ability to work with minimum supervision to deliver the tasks outlined above Ability to identify issues and clearly communicate requirements and resolution to both technical and non-technical team members Knowledge of Intersystems Cache database and Artiva Legal Application a plus Working experience with Quest Foglight Monitoring tool a plus Needs to be available at any time during the engagement. Must be comfortable working with aggressive timelines. The right candidate will care about getting the job done right regardless of the likelihood of a contract extension.
