Responsibilities:
- Configure server hardware, Operating System, and back office
applications
- Monitor server and network performance
- Mentor Help Desk support personnel
- Coordinate service backup procedures
- Perform network data routing
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements:
- College degree with 5 years of relevant experience; or 5 years of
relevant experience with an industry certification (SUSE/RED HAT LINUX,
MCSE preferred)
- Experience with the following:
- Windows desktop and server Operating System experience, including
Active Directory with Windows Server 2003 and 2008
- Server configurations (HW and SW) using above operating systems
- VMWare 5.x
- Suse Linux 10x
- Intel server hardware (IBM x-series and Cisco UCS Blade Servers)
- Solid understanding of Novell
- IBM Tivoli Storage Manager
- IBM Storage (XIV SAN)
- Amazon Web Services
- Good analytical and troubleshooting skills
- Ability to work as member of a team
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical
staff
