The IT Consultant will be responsible for developing new grants in EGMS and implementing change requests to existing grants in EGMS. The IT Consultant is expected to work with the grant program managers (Business Stakeholders) to get an accurate understanding of the requirements for new grants and changes to existing grants. The IT consultant is required to learn and use the MTW Grant Designer tool. This is the primary tool for building grants. The IT consultant will also manage EGMS users, setup security groups and build ad hoc reports. The IT Consultant should be familiar with the grant life-cycle process on the Federal, State and local levels. Behavior Characteristics: Office environment with normal working hours. Skills: Skill Required / Desired Amount of Experience Expertise Rating Proficient with MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint Required 13 Years 2 - Proficient Understand the Software Development Life-Cycle (SDLC) Required 13 Years 3 - Expert Fluent in English, excellent written and oral communication Required 10 Years 3 - Expert Held management/supervisor position Required 5 Years 3 - Expert Able to work independently or in a team environment Required 5 Years 3 - Expert Experience with Federal/Local grant life cycle Highly desired 5 Years 3 - Expert Experience with gathering and analyzing business requirements Highly desired 8 Years 3 - Expert Experience with MS Project Highly desired 5 Years 2 - Proficient Experience with MTW Solutions’ grant designer tool (proprietary tool) Highly desired 3 Years 2 - Proficient Experience with computer programming, computer security, internet applications, database management, software development and information systems.
