*Daily Tasks will include but are not limited to the following:*
- Modeling using IBM Cognos Framework Manager tool for several mission
critical reporting initiatives including all layers of the model and
package development.
- Securing the models for data level, object level and package access
security.
- Create advance level reports using Cognos 10 or higher, which include
but are not limited to several pages with conditional formatting and
joining multiple queries to produce a single dataset for the report.
- Create, Modify and Manage Users for all projects using Sun One LDAP
and Cognos Groups and Roles.
- Transfer knowledge to report studio users creating their own reports
in person and using electronic technologies.
- Migrate reports and packages through the 3 tiered reporting
environment using Cognos administrative capabilities.
- Mentor State staff and other contract resources as required.
- Provide troubleshooting and end user support and problem resolution.
- Participate in sessions to develop requirements for the reporting
projects in Cognos Reporting
*PART A: The ONE MANDATORY REQUIREMENT:*
*Mid-Level *
*You must be a Mid-Level IBM COGNOS Report Developer with documented
employment experience of 3-5 years (36-60 months).*
*- *You must have experience in the usage and support of a collection of
development platforms, technical architectures, or business applications
and products that run on those platforms, beyond that of a Programmer.
Specialty in IBM Business Intelligence required.
- You must be able to work without assistance.
*PART B: Requested Desirable Qualifications: *The numbered
qualifications below are not mandatory, but candidates should meet or
exceed in duration and skill set target asked for, at least 3 of numbers 1
through 6.
1. 60 Months or more experience authoring and maintaining reports using
the IBM Cognos Business Intelligence 8.4 suite of tools or higher against
relational, dimensional, and transactional databases.
2. 60 Months or more experience using IBM Cognos Framework Manager 8.4
or higher using Cognos best practices to model a reporting package against
Oracle and SQL databases.
3. 60 Months or more experience using IBM Cognos Connection 8.4
administrative functions to create groups and roles, data source
connections (including groups).
4. 60 Months or more implementing complex data, object and package
security filters within the IBM Cognos Business Intelligence suite of tools
using SunOne Access Manager and Cognos Groups and Roles.
5. 60 months or more demonstrated experience writing queries using SQL,
PL/SQL including optimizing queries using the Cognos SQL tools.
6. Bachelor’s Degree (must be attached).
