Perform root cause analysis
Troubleshooting technical issues
Defining processes and ensuring that the processes are adhered
to Oversees and is responsible for successful completion of
Installation, configuration and migration
Responsible for building / maintaining a test environment
Suggests new technologies and design changes
Monitoring and maintaining SLA requirements by the team
members
Suggesting patches/upgrades to maintain security
level
Identify Skill gaps and plan for training / knowledge
updating
*Technical Requirements : *
In-Depth knowledge of Active Directory and DNS
structure
Strong Knowledge of Windows 2000/ 2003/ 2008 Server and trouble shooting
skills;
Strong in File and Print Server Management; Knowledge in Windows Security;
experienced in Antivirus products
Ability to implement AD infrastructure
Proficient in doing Recovery of AD Domain Controllers, DNS, WINS, DHCP
servers
In-Depth knowledge of DHCP servers designing and
planning
Should have good working experience on RAID management and Array
controller.
Should have good knowledge & troubleshooting skills on MS Clusters, Windows
Load Balancing
Should have expertise in backup products
Expertise in protocol suite and command line utilities
Should have worked with OEM hardware (DELL/HP/IBM), & remote connectivity
tools
Should have worked with more than one patching (WSUS & SMS) & antivirus
tools
Knowledge of Windows Registry, including knowledge of modifying
system
Good experience on installation, configuration and managing VM Ware
environment.
o Good Proficiency in System Fault Tolerance Design, Business
continuity and Disaster recovery planning
o Capacity planning and Fine tune system for optimal performance
In-depth knowledge on working of ESX Server & vCenter Server [formally
Virtual Center]
Document best practices in developing and deploying VMware solutions, and
feed them into our knowledge base for reuse by customers and
partners
Understanding of computer server architectures, including peripheral
interfaces (SCSI, RAID, Ethernet) and multi-processor designs
(SMP)
Knowledge on VMware Datacenter and Management Products like vSphere,
vCenter Converter, Lab Manager, Chargeback, Capacity IQ etc is
must.
*Certification Preferred : *
MCSE (Essential), VCP, (Essential), ITIL (Would be added advantage)
