Send resume to* [email protected]* Role: Security Engineer *Location: AZ (*Local or nearby) *Duration: 3+ months **(90 days initial, with chance of extension)* *Rate: $DOE/hr C2C MAX* *Job Over view:* The successful candidate will be responsible for performing tasks related to analyzing information from a variety of sources, conducting technical analysis of incidents and other security threats, coordinating response actions, and disseminating technical information as appropriate in support of their critical infrastructure/assets. *Key responsibilities:* · Conduct technical assessments of computer related security incidents, including malware analysis, packet level analysis, and system level forensic analysis. · Monitoring, managing, and coordinating the information collection and cataloging of activities from a variety of public and private analytical information sources. · Work as a team with other CIRT Analysts, Security Engineers, Security Staff, and members of IT. · Coordination of incident response activities (escalations, notifications, conference calls, etc.). · Assess severity levels of security threats (e.g., incidents, vulnerabilities, malicious code) and coordinate the appropriate notifications in a timely manner. · Document initial analysis of vulnerability reports and how they relate to our client. · Assist in the development and maintenance of procedural documentation. *Skills Requirements:* · Candidates should have good experience in Networking, Windows and *nix environments. · Strong understanding of TCP/IP and network communications. · Good systems and network administration skills. · Strong computer security incident handling and analytical skills. · Working knowledge of computer security forensics and security vulnerabilities · Must be well versed in multiple security technologies: Ø SIEM (RSA enVision, ArcSight, E-security, etc) Ø Antivirus (MacAfee, Symantec, etc) Ø Intrusion Detection Systems (Snort/Sourcefire, Tippingpoint, etc) Ø End-point security (CSA, Mcafee HIPS, etc) Ø Web Proxy/Content Filtering (Bluecoat, Websense, etc) Ø Active Directory, PKI, Radius, RSA SecureID *Skills Desired (but not required):* · One or more programming/scripting languages (e.g., C++, Perl, Java, Python, etc) · GCIH, GCIA, CISSP *Candidates must have:* · A strong interest in, and possess a basic knowledge of network and computer security issues · Ability to work meticulously with careful attention to detail · Ability to identify and ensure the timely delivery of critical information to internal analysis teams, sponsors, customers, and other interested parties · Ability to work and communicate effectively within a global team environment · Ability effectively prioritize work · Ability to develop and explain technical decisions · Ability to recognize and deal appropriately with confidential and sensitive information · Ability to interact effectively with technical and non-technical audiences via both verbal and written communications (e.g., technical writing, user guide development, requirements analysis) · Ability to quickly learn new procedures, skills, and techniques · Ability to work under pressure · Meet inflexible deadlines · Deal with difficult individuals while maintaining composure · Sit for long periods of time while working · Candidate must be able to pass a background investigation *Preferred Requirements:* Preferred candidates will possess excellent analytical, technical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
