*1)            Data Analyst*

Data Analyst (Southfield, MI) :

•             Analytical Skills: Data analysts work with large amounts of
data. Need to see through the data and analyze it to find conclusions.

•             Communication Skills: Data analysts are often called to
present their findings, or translate the data into an understandable
document. They need to write and speak clearly, easily communicating
complex ideas.

•             Critical Thinking: Data analysts must look at the numbers,
trends, and data and come to new conclusions based on the findings.

•             Attention to Detail: Data is precise. Data analysts have to
make sure they are vigilant in their analysis to come to correct
conclusions.

•             Technology: SQL Server DB, VSAM



*2)            Data Architect*

Skills Summary:

A person in this role is responsible for gathering the data requirements,
profiling data and documenting the rules to move data between source and
target data stores. This person is the day-to-day face of Data Architecture
within a project team.  This person will work under the guidance and
direction of a Senior Data Architect or Data Architect in support of
project related data architecture tasks.  This person may also be called
upon to provide detail analysis and problem investigation for data related
anomalies in D&B’s data supply chain.  To provide this person with the
opportunity to move up to a Data Architect, this person can also be called
upon to provide direction and leadership to other data analysts on a
project, and work with the Data Architect program or project lead to
identify the data architecture tasks and resource requirements. The
following are responsibilities for a person in this role.



Detail Description

•             Provide project-related support in adherence to the D&B’s
data architecture strategy.

•             Identify and document the data requirements for a project.

•             Profile data to understand the contents of a data store and
also to identify any issues that may exist within an existing data store.

•             Create and maintain data architecture project artifacts.
This includes data store documentation and source to target data transform
rules.

•             Ensure any differences or non-compliance to D&B’s data
architecture strategy is raised to the Senior Data Architects for
resolution.

•             Provide problem resolution support for data anomalies on
projects that are conforming to D&B’s data architecture standards.  Work
closely with the application development teams globally ensuring the
anomaly is resolved.

•             Understand the existing logical / physical data model
deployed for SBFE (Small Business Financial Exhange) application

•             Define close to 1500 data elements (Name and Definition) as
per Data Architecture standard.

•             This resource is responsible for successful development of
data mapping specifications by understanding the source and target models.
Also should be able to implement the business rules as transformation rules
in the spec.
