*IMMEDIATE INTERVIEW* *POSITION: Network/System Analyst- System Engineer (GIS)* *LOCATIONB: Fort Worth, TX(local)* *DURATION: 6+ MONTH* IS GEMINI Program is seeking for a Level III Engineer/Backup Expert experienced in the area of Tivoli Storage Manager for supporting the programs Transformation Supply work stream in various projects. KEY ACCOUNTABILITY: ================ Support design, documentation and deployment of new TSM environments (including server hardware, OS, TSM backup product configuration, purpose built backup appliance (PBBA) (Netbackup appliance or data domains) to target host and replication sites. RESPONSABILITIES: ============== - Work with project team to collect and document site survey information which will be used in the development of the target solution - Build solution packages based on pre-defined reference architecture to migrate Windows 2003 / TSM 5.5 at global Novartis locations to the new target architecture. Solution packages include-but are not limited to-the following elements: --Developing technical diagrams comprising of network connectivity to geographically dispersed data centers; Diagrams include details such as switches, ILOs, IP and vLan configuration; storage pool sizing and configuration as well as target replication device sizing and configuration (eg., Data Domains or Netbackup appliances) -- Building qualification documentation such as Installation Qualification and Operational Qualification Documentation -- Working with technical writers to finalize installation and other site specific documentation - Build scripts to automate the deployment of backup agents in the target sites (e.g., TSM and or DPA agents) - Build technical test scripts as needed to test disaster capabilities between host site and target replication site - Ensure all documentation of solutions follows Novartis standards and is clear and concise; - Participate in the deployment of solutions in target sites; deployment includes executing, testing and documenting installation procedures in a controlled fashion; submitting change control tickets as needed - Build and configure backup jobs in target environment in a controlled fashion (i.e., under change control) - Trouble shoot as needed during solution deployment; - Interact with internal and external experts as needed during solution development, deployment and hand-off as needed - Participate in Knowledge Transfer activities to hand of site from deployment to production operations ; create Knowledge Transfer documentation as needed Skills: REQUIRED TECHNICAL SKILLS: ====================== - IBM Tivoli Storage Manager knowledge versions 5.5 through 7.1.1 is mandatory - Symatec Netbackup / BackupExec is desirable - Solid understanding and ability to work at the Server OS level with the following products: -- Windows Server 2003, 2008 -- IBM Unix, AIX, RedHat Linux, Solaris, HP-UX - Solid understanding of backup area networks and backup data replication across wide area networks to geographically dispersed data centers - Ability to install, configure and troubleshoot TSM agents (Windows, AIX, Linux, HPUX). - In depth understanding TSM policies and storage administration - In depth understanding of TSM storage pooling - TSM Server Administration (patching, startup, shutdown, troubleshooting) - Understanding of hardware monitoring concepts using HP-OMI - Understanding of EMC Backup Reporting and Monitoring Tool (Data Protection Advisor) - Basic understanding how to zone SAN switches - Basic understanding of virtual tape libraries, experience with DataDomain is highly desirable - Experience administering IBM tape libraries from AIX, HP and TSM highly desirable - LAN-free TSM client experience a plus - Understanding of Archive technologies and storage tiering and cloud storage concepts a plus - Backup Management in a regulated environment, preferably previous pharmaceutical experience - Excellent English communication skills as well as and good documentation skills is mandatory *Thanks and Regards,* *[image: cid:image001.jpg@01D0A762.A6EA2220]* *Ishant* Sr. IT Recruiter *Email*: *ish...@technocraftsol.com* <ish...@technocraftsol.com> *Contact*: *614-664-7813* *Yahoo ID / Gmail ID*: *ishanttechnocraft* *Website*: www.technocraftsol.com *Note: Technocraft Solutions LLC works with Direct Client’s and Preferred Vendors Nationwide. * *Your confirmation would means that you understand the level of Technocraft Solutions LLC association for the mentioned project and will not approach Technocraft Solutions LLC Client directly* -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Oracle-Projects" group.
