The Test Automation Engineer role is responsible for developing, executing and debugging test scripts onsite in SQS client environments to ensure that all application products and services meet organizational standards and end-user requirements. *Job Responsibilities:* · Collaborate with architects, analysts and developers to identify test automation/integration opportunities · Design, build and implement UI and back-end test cases · Collaborate with infrastructure team, to ensure adequate test environments are maintained and performing efficiently to provide reliable automated builds · Creation of automated test scripts, test definition and design for applications on different platforms – Mainframe, Web & Mobile platforms · Run the automated test scripts as per the test execution plans. · Collaborate with the team, providing estimates of effort, highlighting risks and dependencies · Investigate and debug application defects · Collaborate with SQS BFSI Offshore Testing Center of Excellence to ensure alignment to standards and best practices · Contribute to Test Planning and Reporting, as directed by the Test Analyst/Client Delivery Manager *Requirements:* · 5+ years of experience in software testing and/or software quality assurance with a focus on *Test Automation* · Must be proficient in industry leading test tools – both licensed and open source *(e.g., QTP, Selenium, Coded UI, FitNesse, or Cucumber)* · Must be proficient at writing complex code in some of the following languages: *MS VBScript, C#, or Java* · Experience in Continuous *integration / Dev Ops (with tools like Jenkins / Lisa*) will be an advantage · Understanding of test management tools/solutions/integrations (*e.g., ALM/QC or MS TM)* · Ability to interact with other teams to derive information required for projects · Ability to highlight and escalate risks related to assigned work · Strong communication and client-interfacing skills · A desire and willingness to learn · Related work experience in the *Banking and Financial Services* sectors is a plus · *Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, Math, Engineering, Physics or Science, or equivalent experience* *Please note:* · Authorization to work in the United States on a permanent basis is required. · Travel is an inherent part of this position. · No relocation support is currently available for this position.
