*Job Summary:*
This Java Developer position is responsible for development, design,
implementation/integration, maintenance and documentation of complex web
applications supporting key business initiatives.
This developer position will work collaboratively with the technical team
to design optimal solutions.
*Responsibilities:*
- Interpret written business requirements and technical specification
documents
- Ability to analyze and resolve complex technical business issues and
technical problems
- Perform maintenance programming and correction of identified defects
- Effectively serve as a member of Agile oriented software development
team
- Work collaboratively with technical team for best technical solutions
- Participate in code and design reviews
- Design, code, test, and provide production support for new web
applications, including integration of changes that may impact multiple
applications and components
- Ensure integrated applications or components including considerations
for performance, serviceability, usability, and maintainability
- Assumes additional responsibilities as assigned.
*Skills/Qualifications:*
- An undergraduate degree (BA/BS) from an accredited university in
Computer Science, Information Technology or a computer related field, or
equivalent work experience
- Technical certifications and/or completion of technical courses a plus
- The candidate should possess minimum 7 years of current hands-on
experience with Java Development including:
- JEE (Servlet, JSP, JPA, JNDI, JDBC, JAXB, JMail, etc.)
- Hibernate
- RESTful/SOAP Web Service
- Spring application framework
- PostgreSQL, MongoDB
- Junit Testing Framework
- JBoss Wildfly
- Jenkins Continuous Build Tool
- Ecplise EE
- Technical documentation
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to interpret documented business requirements and provide
appropriate solutions
- Previous experience working in an Agile/Scrum environment is a plus
- Excellent time management
- Ability to multi-task and handle more than one project at a time.
