REQUIRED SKILLS: * BA/BS degree with an emphasis in human-computer interaction. * At least 8 years of experience in a creative group environment in web, printing, or TV/film on large scale web interfaces. * Excellent written and oral communication skills. * Expert in Information Architecture and preparing IA documents. DETAILS: * Gather information architecture requirements from key stakeholders in cross-functional meetings. * Lead whiteboard JAD sessions to define customer goals and business goals, and map out the user experience. * Construct site architecture and navigational schemes. Coordinate site architecture and navigation with design, engineering and product management. * Define core interaction designs and functionality based on sound usability principles, research, data and technical feasibility. * Employ user centered design methodologies to influence product teams to achieve the solution that is right for our customers. * Diagram interactions using site maps, flow charts, and use cases. * Develop wireframe page diagrams and functional specs with emphasis on simplicity and ease-of use * Optimize designs through usability research, site analytics, and A/B testing. * Work closely with our creative staff to translate wireframes into web creative designs and oversee the build of all functionality by our capability development teams. * Conduct user research as needed to document user needs and identify opportunities to improve customer experience while driving improved conversion rates and order values. * Develop a set of best practices, rules, and UI guidelines for programming staff. * Develop usability testing scenarios. * Maintain related project documentation. * Collaborate with project managers, engineers, copy writers and UI designers to refine interaction design * Keep team informed about information architecture and UI issues. * Coordinate project schedules with communications office and development project managers. * Respond to UI demands as project requirements change. * Work on several deadline driven projects simultaneously. * Candidates should, in time, be able to exhibit a strong understanding of the business model and how creative solutions contribute to the success over time. * Serve as a liaison between third parties developing content for the website to ensure that content conforms to standards and is usable in our CSS framework. * Excellent CSS knowledge required (as opposed to table-based) layout. * Capable of writing HTML and CSS fluently in Notepad if necessary. * Extensive knowledge and experience of Photoshop/Illustrator, Captivate, Dreamweaver, CSS, XHTML, and Flash (Layout, composition, typography, filters, import, export and web images). * Advanced JavaScript/ActionScript coding (2.0 or 3.0), and proficient XML.
