*Position : ETL Informatica Developer with Mainframe/Cobol Exp. * *Location : East Rochester, NY * *Duration : 6+ Months * *Interview : Phone then Face to Face* *Job Description: * • Key responsibilities are designing, developing and testing large scale, high volume, transaction processing databases and Operational Data Stores (ODS). Also, provide detailed design, documentation, implementation and testing of extract programs and Extract, Transform & Load (ETL) modules. *Job Responsibilities* • Physical database design and development of large scale, high volume, transaction processing databases and Operational Data Stores in a real-time SQL environment. ? • Provide technical leadership and consultation with respect to the direction of ETL solutions across Excellus. • Provide leadership in establishing architectural guidelines, best practices and standards for ETL development with Informatica ETL products. ? • Analyze source data, complete source-to-target data maps and business-driven transformation rules. ? • Design, development and testing of Extract, Transform & Load (ETL) modules using Informatica PowerExchange and PowerCenter . ? • Populate and maintain technical metadata repositories and related documentation. ? • Design, development and testing of data extract programs using Cobol. ? • Produces detailed design documents from high-level requirements and functional specifications. * Job Requirement* • BS or BA in Computer Science or equivalent . • Demonstrated expertise in design and development of large scale, high volume, transaction processing databases or Operational Data Stores in a real-time SQL environment. • Knowledge of database internals, data structures and tuning strategies. • Extensive experience in SQL programming including advanced queries, stored procedures and triggers in DB2, Oracle or SQL Server environments. • Experience in ETL tools including Informatica PowerCenter and PowerExchange . • Experience in structured programming using Cobol in IMS or CICS batch and online transaction processing environments. • Experience with Modeling Tools (Rational Rose, ERWin), Report Generation Tools (Cognos), Database Tools (TOAD, AQT). • Experience in model-driven architecture, ER modeling and Object-Oriented Analysis & Design (OOAD). • Ability to analyze problems, sort through complex issues, provide a comparative analysis of alternatives and solution recommendations. • Ability to work in a team environment and communicate effectively to management and peers, both written and verbal. • Mainframe, COBOL, CICS, DB2, SQL. *Regards* *Vikas Gupta* *Technical Recruiter* *VSG Business Solutions* *221,Cornwell Dr, Bear, DE 19701* *Email :vi...@vsgbusinesssolutions.com <vi...@vsgbusinesssolutions.com>* *Contact No : 302-261-3207 X 109* *Hangout :vikas9181.vsg* -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Oracle-Projects" group.
