IMMEDIATE INTERVIEW !! *Job Title: **SCOM Windows Server Engineer* Location: Rode Island, NY Duration: 6+ months Rate: $55/hour on C2C looking to add a Server Engineer who was solely responsible for administering Microsoft’s Systems Center Operations Manager (SCOM) in an enterprise environment. Duration is 6 months + and will be looking to interview candidates during the week of 8/10. Microsoft Systems Center Operations Manager is used to monitor the overall health and performance of everything from servers to individual applications in a MS Windows environment. SCOM is the new version of MOM - Microsoft Operations Manager. FM Global has the latest version of SCOM - 2012 R2. The must haves would be someone with experience as the primary support person for MS SCOM or similar products (IBM Tivoli Monitoring, HP Operations Manager, NetIQ) for more than 2 years. The resource should have worked primarily with SCOM or similar monitoring tool as their full-time job for an enterprise company (5000 users). This position is responsible for providing lead technical level support in the Server and Storage Services team. This position is responsible for providing operational support of the server infrastructure monitoring environments (SCOM, NetIQ, Mom, SMS). The role also requires analyzing the network services environment & implementing server performance tuning measures, developing & implementing long term infrastructure strategies that include (but not limited to) networking, security tools (vulnerability assessment, IDS, Anti-Virus), storage technologies, monitoring and using SCOM to link to Active Directory for deployments. Candidate must have proven track record of coaching/training/mentoring other team members through knowledge transfer.
