Position: Replicate 1 Developer
Location: FL
Duration: 5 Months
*Responsibilities*
The contractor will assist with the following:
The setup, support and deployment of Vision Replicate 1 product on
multiple source platforms.
Script development to support deployment, maintenance and monitoring
of Replicate 1.
Replication Triage support to identify replication related issues.
Setup/Support of EDW ETL test environments.
Data Analysis capabilities using SQL and other Unix tools to triage
defects.
Development of EDW loads and extracts using SQL transformations.
Use existing tools and templates to conform to site standards.
*Skills*
Experience with the setup and deployment of Vision’s *Replicate 1* on DB2
and/or Oracle, Strong SQL, strong scripting experience on Unix & Windows,
experience with python or perl, experience with AS400 systems (OS400 OS),
experience with Java JVM configuration.
*Required skills:*
Vision Replicate 1 and/or Mimix experience (setup and deployment).
Data warehouse concepts and techniques.
Complex SQL queries.
Programming: shell scripting such as SED, AWK and bash OR scripting
languages Python or Perl OR Java.
OS400/Unix and Windows experience. It would be desirable if they
know something about windows services or other server side programming
tasks.
DB2 journal and system physical file experience on AS400 hardware
(OS400) systems.
Java JVM deployment and configuration.
*Desired skills:*
Strong Data Analysis capability/experience.
Python programming language.
Understanding of source code control concepts.
Ability to understand complex business data integration.
Reporting: BI concepts, Business Objects.
*Required degree: *
Computer Science or Engineering degree.
