*Title: Database Developer/SQL developer* *Duration: 6+ months * *Locations: Dallas, TX* *Interview: TELEPHONIC+SKYPE* *Client: **Think Finance* *Responsibilities for this Position Include:* The development cycle is fast-paced and agile, requiring high attention to detail to ensure stable and reliable change management. The Development DBA is a key contributor to stability in this environment through the daily monitoring of changes being made to development databases and tight coordination with the development team leads and the production DBA team. This position reports to the DBA Manager and will partner with DBAs, application developers, and vendors on a regular basis. High attention to detail and drive to deliver excellence in every task are core values of the company and a principal characteristic required of this position. *Principal Duties and Responsibilities:* - Create and maintain database environments supporting software development teams and related projects. - Perform T-SQL code reviews during key points of the SDLC and enforce compliance with T-SQL coding standards. - Work with internal constituents to understand business application change requirements and goals and aid the development of scalable, available, and high performance schema changes in the databases. - Assist in creating of database programming standards for application developers. - Perform occasional SQL code releases in conjunction with the release of application code by Release Management team and follow industry best practice. - Enhance schema to support customer data security policies using encryption, views and other techniques to minimize the profile of highly sensitive data either static in data stores or while in transit. - Responsible for the addition and deletion of user access to development databases according to published policies. *Education and Experience:* - Minimum 5 years database and T-SQL experience, at least 1 of which must be in environments with complex, multi-gigabyte databases for financial services ecommerce applications. - Bachelors in Computer Science or related area. - Professional experience with T-SQL. - Professional experience with development SQL Server environments. - Helpful experiences include: Professional experience in Lending or Financial Services, E-Commerce. *Thanks & Rega**rds* *Sr. Technical Resource Specialist* *214-628-5329\ nik...@vastika.com <nik...@vastika.com>* *1200 W Walnut Hill Ln.
