*Position: * *DevOps Automation Engineer * *Location : Alpharetta, GA * *Duration: 6+ Months* *Interview Mode: **Phone then Face to Face* *Job Description* · The Lead Application Developer -- Dev Ops/Platform designs, develops, and implements software tools and integrations for our continuous delivery platform. · The ideal candidate will have experience developing and deploying applications in a Java ecosystem with visibility across the entire stack. · The candidate has experience with automation, build, and deployment toolsets and is passionate about continuous integration and continuous delivery. *Job Responsibilities* · Design, development, document, and maintain the continuous delivery and integration platforms. · Support scrum teams to ensure efficient delivery of integrations and solutions. · Work closely and efficiently with product owners and scrum masters in an Agile environment to understand their needs and prioritize quality development · practices and continuous improvement Develop on multiple technologies and frameworks, including Java, Jenkins, Maven, Puppet, and Docker. · Maintain up to date skills in development technologies. · Clearly communicate status, road-blocks and concerns to the team on an ongoing basis. · Mentoring of junior level developers within the team, including but not limited to peer review of their work, building tools, libraries and documentation to help others adapt quickly to standard design methodologies. *Job Requirement* · Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience. · 5-10 years developing and deploying web-based software applications. · 2-5 Development experience with Java and Maven. · Experience with Jenkins. · GIT and/or SVN experience. · Scripting experience in bash, perl, or python. · Extensive experience with Agile software development methodology. · Must be able to work effectively within a team with assignment independence. · Demonstrate excellent written and oral communication skills. *PREFERRED QUALIFCATIONS: * · Preference will be given to candidates who have the following: · *Master's degree *Puppet / Chef / Ansible automation experience. Docker / Docker Swarm experience.
