*Position: * *Network Engineer* *Location : Alpharetta, GA* *Duration : 12+ Months * Interview Mode: Phone Then face to face Rate :: $43/hr Job Description: The primary responsibility of an Operations Network Engineer is to provide the technical expertise needed to support day-to-day network operations. This includes leading efforts to maintain and audit a rapidly growing network topology that must meet the needs of a challenging set of development, operations and business requirements. A Network Engineer will be expected to demonstrate innovative approaches to solving the unique challenges encountered and be able to maintain the security and integrity of the networks. The ideal candidate has a very strong understanding of core LAN and WAN networking concepts, experience instrumenting and monitoring network devices along with knowledge of advanced and leading edge networking technologies. General responsibilities include maintenance and administration of networks and related support systems, troubleshooting and resolving issues related to systems and networks and implementation of network projects. This includes supporting technology needs of end-users throughout the organization. A Network Engineer is expected to, participate in off hours maintenance activities, be “On-Call”, during which the employee is responsible for answering Network related calls on their cell phone. These calls must be taken immediately and treated as “IT Emergencies”. For any such emergencies that cannot be immediately resolved it is expected that the employee notify the appropriate IT manager(s).
