*Position: PeopleSoft HCM Quality Analyst* *Location: Columbus, OH* *Duration: Full Time* *Job Description:* *Years of Experience:* *7 plus years’ software development, testing and project management.* *4 plus years of PeopleSoft Human Capital Management (HCM) experience.* *2 plus years of Taleo experience * *Education:* 4 year college degree or equivalent technical study. The candidate will be supporting The Ohio Department of Transportation’s OAKSenterprise project. Role Description: The FIN Quality Assurance Specialist (QAS) will be working on behalf of the State on a complex, multi-year engagement. The selected QAS will be working with the business and configuration teams to ensure that the requirements formally documented on the Requirements Traceability Matrix (RTM) are delivered as documented. · Participate in Business Process Design workshops and confirming results from workshops are accurately transitioned into requirements. · Confirm that the OAKS Enterprise RTM is complete and that the disposition of the requirements is accurately documented in the RTM. · Confirm that throughout the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) process – Design, Build, Test - that the configuration teams are not changing the disposition of documented requirements. · Confirm that the Test scenarios and scripts are comprehensive to completely test all OAKS Enterprise requirements. · Confirm Test results and accurately document the results of testing. · Confirm throughout the System and User Acceptance Test phases that Test scripts are appropriately updated to address any script issues. · Confirm that the RTM ties requirements back to the Test scripts and confirms that all requirements have been successfully tested.. · Anticipating issues / risks and proactively addressing them. · Responsible for the design, pilot, and implementation of the softw are quality assurance review processes. · Validating quality processes by establishing product specifications and quality attributes. · Review and check project’s software development activities and the associated internal tasks required as employed by the project and specified in the project plan. · Perform detailed reviews of interim and final tasks as appropri ate. · Ensure process improvement opportunities are reviewed by appropria te contact to identify training needs of the organization. · Perform or manage the required software quality phase end reviews of work product and process for each software project and produce the required software quality reports, as specified in the project's software quality pl an. · Development and management of short and long-term plans and schedu les for organization wide software quality needs. · Experience with quality assurance roles and responsibilities. · Experience with process improvement and procedures. · Experience with performing and managing software QA phases and end reviews of work products. The ideal candidate will have the following skills: · Detailed understanding of processes which support the software dev elopment lifecycle. · Experience identifying and resolving issues with software quality. · Experience with Team Foundation Server, Test Manager and/ or other quality tools. · Experience developing test cases. · Management of test strategies for large projects. · Coordination and procurement of the required skills and techniques required. · Analytical and detail oriented. · Must have strong communication skills; both written and spoken. · Must have ability to work in a team environment. Day-to-Day Responsibilities would include: · Complete tasks identified in the project plan. · Work with Application Teams during pre and post assessment periods . · Responsible to plan, schedule, execute, and document findings of the Phase end review. · Review project’s required work products to ensure compliance with approved tailored procedures and standards. · Communicate any requested changes to the RTM to the project managers, business owners, and program management office · Anticipate issues / risks and proactively addressing them. · Assist in software activities in defined span of control for the o rganization. · Compare actual project procedures to the specified standards, proc edures, and if required, specific 3rd party contractual requirements. · Track and monitor process and work product improvement opportuniti es. · Collect, review, and evaluate the project’s required work products against standard work product templates. · Communicate with the State regarding the progress of the quality a pproach and a summary of the metrics. · Ensure that defined processes are followed. · Resolve conflicts with sensitivity and tact. · Effectively communicate with stakeholder, vendor and customers.
