For further details please contact me at 408-418-0290**.* *Please send me the resumes to **[email protected] <[email protected]>* *Position Details* Requirement Title Migration Operations Engineer Language English *Project Details (detailed description)* • We are installing (literally rack and stacking, configuring and joining the new device to the customer’s network) about 600 ASR9Ks to replace existing 7600 (routers). • We are also moving about 120,000 customer circuits from the old 7600s to the ASR9Ks using Operation/Migration Engineers to configure the ASR9Ks and do the circuit migrations. • Once the circuits have been migrated off the original 7600s, the old routers will be decommissioned and removed from the customer’s site. • We are also be doing the TIRKS database (circuit design) work necessary to move the customer circuits to these new ASR9K routers. • Some of the circuit moves (about 5% of the first phase of the project) will require physically moving the optical circuits on the customer premise during an overnight maintenance window (MW). • The balance of the circuits will be moved remotely through commands to circuit switching devices during overnight MWs (Monday through Thursday nights Local time 11PM-5AM). Remote configuration of DCS/MON units to consolidate/migrate fiber data circuits to ASR9Ks • Migration work will be done exclusively during maintenance windows performed from approximately 11:00pm to 4:00am (local time) Monday thru Thursday (max, work could be done in 1-4 days). • Physically moving of fiber circuits and jumpers on fiber panels • Configuration of ports on Cisco ASR9K and Cisco 7600/6500 routers.
