Sr. Configuration Management Analyst
Purpose:
• The Senior Configuration Management Analyst is responsible for ensuring
that application software changes in a multi
platform environment are implemented in accordance with the Software
Configuration Services (SCS) process.
• He/she must develop and maintain a comprehensive understanding for
Client's software configuration management strategy.
• This position will be responsible for execution of software builds,
deployments and configuration elements within the Dev, QA, Stage, and
Production environments.
Specific Duties, Activities, and Responsibilities:
1. Provide technical leadership in the software development process for
small and medium projects.
2. Ensure the SCS processes are followed for builds and deployments for the
assigned projects and applications.
3. Maintain deployment and build schedules for projects and applications.
4. Continuous enhancement of the SCS processes to support required business
needs.
5. Work in a Continuous Integration model.
6. Execute build automation strategy.
7. Provide software deployment tool administration and expertise.
8. Build and support metrics and reporting.
9. Other duties and responsibilities as required.
Position Requirements:
• Education or Equivalent: Minimum required to perform job.
• BS in Computer Science, Business or related job experience.
Experience or Equivalent: Minimum requirements to perform job.
• 3+ years experience in an application development environment using a
formal software configuration management methodology process.
• Requires the ability to develop and manage implementation planning
schedules.
• Must demonstrate the ability to handle multiple projects and coordinate
project schedules.
• Innovative and strategic thinking is required, as well as a track record
of success implementing solutions that result in measurable business
benefits.
• 2+ years experience performing Java and/or .NET deployments.
• 2+ years experience building and deploying software.
• 2+ years experience with source code control systems, including
Subversion or Git
• Experience with software configuration management tools and performed
administrative activities associated with those tools.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Requirements:
• Strong software configuration management process knowledge
• Subversion, Git, Jenkins/Hudson
• HP ALM, TeamForge, Jira
• Nexus, Pivotal Cloud Foundry (a plus)
• Formalized SDLC(Software Development Life Cycle) knowledge
• Project Management Skills
• Knowledge of Linux or Windows
• Scripting Skills (Ant, Perl, Maven, Gradle, Powershell, MSBuild)
• HP Fortify, Sonar (a plus)
• Business Acumen
• Influencing Skills
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
