*Position :: Front-end Java Developer* *Location :: **Boston, MA* *Duration:: Open ended * *Interview:: Phone then Face to Face* . *They would prefer someone with strong EXTJS, with some investment or Financial Services experience.* *Job description:* This resource will be working on a variety of enhancement projects to Putnam’s investment systems including research, equity trading, risk reporting, etc. *Key Responsibilities * - Collaborate with business analysts and designers in the enhancement of an existing web application. Development will also include reports and interfaces. - Research, document, design and implement program requirements and specifications. - Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high pressure environment. - Provide on and off hour support on a rotating schedule *Skills and Qualifications* -4+ years of experience with front-end development of enterprise applications with a strong understanding and hands on experience with JavaScript, its quirks, and workarounds -Good understanding of web markup, including HTML5 and CSS3 -Experience in object oriented analysis and design using UML. -Good experience with CSS and be familiar with CSS rule of priority and selector -Strong understanding of at least one MVC or MVVM JavaScript framework (EXTJS, AngularJS, KnockoutJS, BackboneJS, ReactJS, etc}.
